About the Ritter Butzke

Old wall meets the electo circus

The memorial site of the former Butze-Werk is home to one of the next generation's electro clubs. The organizers of Ritter Butzke have done a great job of making the club feel like an amusement park for adults by coming up with imaginative parties and unique decorations for said parties. Depending on the size of the party you will find anywhere from 2 to 5 "playgrounds" to let your energy loose on. Weather permitting the courtyard is used as a cozy open-air area. Next to the nostalgic candyshop are the large cubicle like bathrooms with an adjacent waiting lounge. And then there's the Labyrinth of the Dancefloors, where you may just run into the one or other elf like being.

Waiting in line is likely if you come before roughly 1 a.m. but due to the liberal door policy the wait tends to be quite short. Inside the age and nationality of the crowd varies greatly depending on the theme of the party that night and the electro music inside is entertaining enough that even returning visitors won't feel bored.

Electro pioneers Bachstelzen, Neurocomic and Pyonen are among those who have made the club that since 2007 has existed under catchy Pseudonym’s such as "Aqua Ritter", "Ex Starlight Club", and now lastly "Ritter Butzke" so unique.
